Has anyone solved this problem? There does seem to be 3rd party wires or even wiring sleeves available but using a new 4000 series card with some unknown 3rd party adaptors and wires does make me feel a bit uneasy.

Any products anyone could recommend would be much appreciated.

CableMod is probably the most well known supplier but not the cheapest (they are manufactured in the US). I’ve seen people take a chance with Aliexpress cables with some success but like you I don’t think I would take a chance.

If you go for full cables rather than adapters make sure you get ones for your specific power supply. CableMod offer different SKUs for different PSUs.

A good modular power supply such as Corsair or Seasonic

And then get cables custom made for colour and length (you can even get angled connectors), and as said there is no standard pin out for the mod end of the cable so they have to be ordered to suite the individual PSU

I've used Pexon before.

I've actually bought connectors, wire and terminals from them in the past to build my own cables - another option if you're feeling brave!

I bought a Cooler Master V650 Gold V2 PSU in white, and it came with white leads (except the msins lead). I ended up changing the SATA leads for white. - even though the case doesn’t have a viewing panel.

I've put it in a black case, which has white drive trays and PCI blanking plates (Fractal Design case).

Have you considered building it and seeing if the cables actually bother you? I speak as someone who spent a lot of time and money building a PC where I thought details like that would matter, but TBH after building it I really couldn't care much.

Obviously that doesn't work if you want to show it off, but you can always replace them later.

As others have said, Cablemod.

It looks like overclockers have some common bundles in stock - just make sure to match against your PSU as there isn’t an industry standard pin out on the PSU side.
