Hi all
I'm not the youngest on the block anymore but do have 100's and 100's of songs sitting on a an external hard drive and want to play them at BBQ's in the garden where I have no wifi signal.
I have itunes, an iphone and android mobiles along with a bluetooth speaker and 2 x echo's
What is the easiest way to make them play, don't mind if I have to buy something if it makes the problem easier to solve.
Thanks in advance for your help as I'm out of touch with what's available
Cheers

Easy option is iTunes, sync to your iPhone and then Bluetooth to the speaker, assuming there's enough storage space on your phone.
Alternatively maybe consider buying a second hand iPod Classic, assuming your bluetooth speaker has the option for a line in as the old iPods don't have bluetooth.

If you have a bluetooth speaker, and an iPhone, you can play songs anywhere - wifi has nothing to do with it...
Just copy songs onto your phone if they are in the cloud...
...or am I missing something?
Thanks and maybe, my songs are on a physical hard driveJust copy songs onto your phone if they are in the cloud...

If you ha e enough storage on one of the phones that could work, maybe one of the android phones might even have a slot for an SSD card.
It is possible to connect a hard drive to most android phones but power to the drive can be a problem sometimes. I've used a 2.5" portable harddrive with several different android phones
A better option for extra storage could be one of these USB memory sticks plugged directly into an Android phones USB C port.
SanDisk 64GB Ultra Dual Drive Go USB Type-C Flash Drive with reversible USB Type-C and USB Type-A connectors, for smartphones, tablets, Macs and computers, Black https://amzn.eu/d/bPjJ16n

If you have mobile signal then you could connect your hard drive to your router via ethernet cable, then set up something like Plex and stream them.
Or transfer the bulk of songs to a memory card and insert that to your android phone and play via Bluetooth
Or transfer to your iPhone as has been said

Invest in mesh WiFi and site a point in a room adjacent the garden, or if you've got a shed/garage with power, in there.
You should then end up with a decent WiFi signal outside.
You can then stream via your phone to a Bluetooth speakerz or buy a smart speaker.
No need for the hard drive then.
If you really want to access the hard drive you could plug that into a pc/laptop then make it discoverable on your phone.
