The absolute bds.

They have / will stopped support for “legacy” software. Which means if you have a my cloud device, like I do, you can basically now only use it with your phone, Windows devices will no longer sync automatically. The s.

Question: is there third party software I can use to auto sync files from windows to the MyCloud Home? It’s a great device, and actually would still work, if the aholes countinued support.

Otherwise I might look at alternative solutions and WD have just lost a customer.

This might have passed you by but unfortunately no vendor can support devices indefinitely, especially with the potential security issues.

If you are accessing the drive locally via mapped drive, you can use synctoy - a Microsoft app to synchronise files between PC and drive.

I’m not sure that synctoy can be recommended as it has been discontinued & official downloads ceased in Nov 2021 iirc.
