I’d be tempted to get a Sonus Roam, its got better connectivity through wifi and I’d rely on that when at home rather than bluetooth which is a lot more flakey.

I got a Sonus sound bar, I’m really quite impressed with the ease of connection and support you get in apps like spotify.

I find the bluetooth on my Bose Soundlink Mini really quite frustrating in comparison.

When our Soundlink Mini stopped charging a few years back, we replaced them with a much cheaper, similarly-sized, similar-functionality JVC one.

It's something like this JVC XS-D5212B...but our's in an older model, and other than the weight there was very little difference.

The Soundlink Mini is still working, but it's attached directly to a PC as it won't hold a charge. The JVC is still working and gets taken camping and on trips, the rest of the time it's not on a shelf in one of the rooms connected to an iPod or phone.

I picked up a Tribit XSound Go having seen it recommended on here. Also have a Bose Soundlink Mini, it compares well to the Bose.

I had a soundlink mini for years and loved it. I replaced it with a Beosound A1 and the Beosound is even better. Battery life and sound quality are great IMO and it even claims to be waterproof (although I have zero intention of testing out that claim!)

It was a fair bit of money, around £200 i think, but if I get as many years use out of it as I have done the Soundlink Mini, I’ll consider it good value.

As an FYI you can replace the battery in the soundlink if that’s the only issue.

its not ...it randomly wont make sound , it does the sound that it should when connecting , phone music stops like its going over to the soundlink but no sound comes out ...sometimes repeated forgetting device and reconnecting works other times nothing

I have a Bose micro soundlink which is excellent. I've always found Bose customer support pretty good, often willing to exchange for a newer bit of kit if the original you have is discontinued. Might be worth a quick chat?

Beosound A1 Gen 2 seems to be the best option. I’m about to order one. Friend of mine has a Sonos Roam and I was really unimpressed with the sound. And I like Sonos stuff.

I had a bose soundlink mini 2 and sold it because my daugters anker soundcore something or other sounded better.
I wound up myself going with the slightly larger but even better sounding and triple the battery life motion boom.
The motion boom has given 3 years solid service without any noticable battery degradation despite being used several times a week in the hot tub, and being used at max volume regularly on the jet ski and speedboat, sometimes getting dunked at 55mph into seawater and run over by a 4 seater banana.
My first soundlink mini 2 died after 3 months, I had to get another one under warranty.
I now have the motion boom plus also, but to be honest the smaller lighter motion boom is better for leisure, i use the plus as a jobsite radio.
