Spamhaus blocked list

I’ve tried a couple of times in the past few weeks to post a reply in a forum ( not PH ) that Im a member of but I get a response saying that my IP address has been blocked.
When I click on the link in the forum it takes me to a Spamhaus website that appears to have a method to get my IP address released.
I put my name and email address into the site and got an immediate email response as below, I’m reluctant to click the link though. Any thoughts ?

“ You will receive an email from [e-mail]. Please click on the link in the email. Once you have verified your email address, either the listing will be removed immediately, or a ticket will automatically be created for review by our team. “

Could always put your IP in their checker and see which blocklist it's on (if it is).
