Number Blocking iPhone
Discussion
As title, I week or so ago I had a missed call from an unknown number starting 03330, googled it and appears to be a telemarketing call so I blocked it, similar number called today so I again went to block the number but I only had the option to 'unblock this number'
Do telemarketers have some new gadget that allows them to still get through even though the number is blocked or just an iphone glitch?

Might be a glitch - not sure i've ever had an issue with blocking numbers.
I have a created a contact in my contacts list called "Do not answer this call"
Every time i get one of these nuisance calls, i simply add it to that contact. I can then set it to block the contact too
Fortunately the frequency of such calls has tailed off.

Nope - I've had this recently.
Blocked the number for calls - made no difference.
Switched off voicemail to stop the 'this is an extremely urgent call for Mr Geezer' (who owes you nowt you) - worked, but you don't get any voicemail from any number (bonus or possibly not good in a genuine emergency).
Blocked the number for texts - made no difference.
So, yes, debt collection agencies do have a way of overcoming number blocking on iPhones.
And probably Android as well.
Which is nice, unless (as in my case) you don't actually owe them anything, and they've just made up an out of contract bill that they never told you about.
Now 'written off' btw after I eventually engaged with the lovely Opus Energy twunts via a formal complaint (they ignored all customer referenced emails).
Not on my Christmas card list.
