Have Coral Paint Shop Pro on system and also a CD to reinstall.

The PC will not let me reinstall as there is a corrupted file

It will not let me uninstall the remaining 447mb of the programme due to corrupted file

Is there anyway i can overcome this?

There follows on a new post problem ...timescale. related.. relating to above Need a knight in shining armour

(edited to get the correct programme named!!)

Revo Uninstaller might solve it. Be careful though.

Is it trying to install to the same folder? What happens if you tell it to install to a different folder?

Use Regedit and do a search for all the Paint Shop Pro lines and remove them. Then try installing to a different folder.

Or is the corrupted file on the CD?

Maybe try scanning the disk for faults.

It could remove something important slough generally safe if just using the standard options. Make sure you have a system restore point first.

As mentioned by someone else above, might also be worth trying check disk. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/check-yo...
