Scroll bar speed change after update

I have just installed the latest update , Monterey 12.6.4 to my MacBook Air The side bar on the right of the screen now scrolls up and down at a super fast speed, too fast. I have the trackpad pointer (systems prefs') set to slow as possible but no difference. Anything else to try please ?

Are you using the touchpad or an external mouse?

How are you scrolling? Using a wheel on an external or using the action on the trackpad?

I use the trackpad, no mouse at all.
Think of pages like ebay with lots of listed items, I use the UP/DOWN arrow keys on the keyboard mostly and the speed is now just too fast. I have to repeat click rather than a constant scroll so the page does not move too quickly.

Very strange if it is just the macbook scroller. That should definitely just be controlled by the scrolling speeds set under the Mouse option in the Settings app.
