CarPlay, music apps

Evening all. I’m currently using Apple Music after years of Spotify (Premium). Nothing particularly wrong with Spotify: I just fancied a change, and fancied something fully “integrated” within iOS, as I just like that sort of thing. The Apple Music app however is not that great: difficult to navigate, clunky, and not particularly intuitive. Spotify never gave me too many headaches. One thing I’m curious to know is, has anyone else done a comparison between Apple Music and Spotify when used via CarPlay? I’m not overly worried about sound quality or music catalogue, as both were more than adequate on that front. It’s more the usability and “slickness” I’m looking at: the less shouting and the easier the button-pushing, the better!

I see Spotify is starting to roll out a new TikTok style interface. Haven’t seen it yet, but sounds worrying. Not sure how this affects the CarPlay interface.
