I recently changed my laptop, it has a single HDMI port Vs my old laptops HDMI + Mini Display ports.

The following 2 monitors need to be connected:
S2421HN Full HD 23.8" LCD Monitor
S2419HN Full HD IPS Monitor

How do I connect the monitors in a way that allows to have 'two' screens as opposed to simply extending the single display, would a simple HDMI splitter work?

There are so many options on Amazon but that includes a lot of cheap tat that isn't necessarily great or lasts long so any pointers appreciated.

Does it have a USB-C port with DisplayPort support?

HDMI splitter is unlikely to work. Can your budget run to a Dell D6000?

I did it with this docking station. Not the most elegant solution but it works and connects 2 screens, a scanner, a printer, a cd drive and an additional keybord/ mouse.

One monitor with a regular HDMI cable, the other with this USB-C to HDMI cable:

I originally bought it to play a slideshow of photos from my iPad to a projector at my mother's funeral, and now that I have it, I use it when travelling either for a first or second monitor, or connect my iPad to hotel TVs to use my own streaming apps.

That page has a note "Please make sure your device supports video output". I doubt if it works if the USB-C port is plain boring ordinary USB C, only if it supports thunderbolt or DP alt mode

Thanks all for the input!

This is spec/available ports:
1 USB 2.0 port.
2 USB 3.2 ports.
1 HDMI port.

Not sure if the USB ports are specifically 'Displayport', if I could use one of the USB ports with a HDMI to USB port that seems like a quick and relatively cheap solution?

Not against spending a bit more on a dock or the Dell D6000 but ideally only if it's somewhat future-proof...at least for a few years anyway.

It's been a long time since I did this, but I had one HDMI port and then used a USB to HDMI adaptor and it worked for two screens - probably about 5 years ago.

You could always buy this and try it and return it if it doesn't.

I have one of these and they’re good. Mine also worked straight of the box. There could a very small fraction of delay in you’re gaming but for day to day office use, it’s been brilliant

Thanks, I will try this approach. Not a gamer (at least for now!), this is primarily for work(mainly excel and .ppt) as it's helpful to have both screens as I would do in the office.
