Hi I am trying to block the increasingly annoying banners that are filling all of the screen before the actual photos start on Flickr. I could just about live with the "sponsored ads" banner, but now there's a new ones with sponsored ads from iStock, so the actual photos you want don't start until 3 miles down the page somewhere. I am using the element picker in uBlock Origin (I also have AdBlock installed and Tamper Monkey) and choose the containers each banner is in, along with the text blocks in between, click the preview, all looks good, choose the 'pick' and job done. That appearance lasts until I refresh the page or do a search for something else and then they reappear. What I am doing wrong please and how do I make them fk off permanently (without paying for Pro) ?

Thanks.

PS. realised grammar fail in title but unable to edit now.

Consider running a pihole instead of browser based detection?

in uBlock, go into Settings then turn on all or most of the filter lists. This will do what a PiHole would do.

uBlock is almost all you need to have if you know how to configure it.

I have them all selected already, including the 'annoyances' list, but they are still there on Flickr.
