Remote view HDMI output? (CCTV)
Discussion
I used to be able to log into my HIKVision CCTV system from anywhere using .
The last couple of years its not worked, I have tried everything to sort it but I think the only option is to replace the DVR which I CBA to do tbh.
I am pretty sure its a software issue in the DVR and its pretty old from 2014 so its no longer supported, that I can see.
Is there such a thing as a box that you can plug into the router and then plug a HDMI cable into it and remote view that video source?
I have googled but all I can find is the usual HDMI over LAN stuff.
I have also tried google remote desktop but its not reliable enough for the uptime I need (weeks at a time).
Thoughts from the experts?

Take a look at this & then go and replace the dvr

Or search for network hdmi kvm, then work out how you’ll grant remote access to your home network & then replace the dvr
