Free Speech Dictation programme

Is there an app or a programme that will convert speech into the typed word?

Free, must be free.

Apple Notes will do it if you have an iPhone.

Gboard on Android
Dictation on iOS/MacOS
Dictate on Microsoft Office (okay not free but many people have it)
Windows' Speech in W10 and W11

Thank you for those replies.

A number of the apps say something like 'click the microphone icon and start talking'. Trouble is I can't see the mike icon!

I have had a fiddle with Siri and dictaed a email to myself. That worked.

I want the facility to speak a message and get it into type, with the ability to print it off if I want.

Android app "speech services by google" never tried it myself mind.
