Nord VPN - Pistonheads issue…

Why do you use a VPN? Just switch it off.
Can't speak for the OP but for me, I don't live in the UK at the moment but still like to use UK streaming options.OP I've had the same recently but switching to a new country usually resolves it. Does seem to have been more flaky in the past week or so though, after 6 months of trouble-free use.

I’m using Nord VPN on an iPad to browse Pistonheads.
Why don’t images show up anymore? I just get a little blue question mark where they should be. If I pause the VPN everything works perfectly.
How can I fix this? Minimal tech knowledge…
Which images? Static ones like the PH logo in the top left corner? Or ones embedded in threads? Or both? Why don’t images show up anymore? I just get a little blue question mark where they should be. If I pause the VPN everything works perfectly.

You should only be using a VPN when you really understand why you need one - otherwise...Why don’t images show up anymore? I just get a little blue question mark where they should be. If I pause the VPN everything works perfectly.

If you want to amend your location transparently, I would use something like SmartDNSProxy which then mostly leaves other traffic alone.
I would only use a VPN to connect from an untrusted Wifi network (e.g. hotel) or to access resources that are private. Otherwise, there is enough TLS around to protect you. For example, your ISP does not know the URL you access at PH, only that you access the site. Everything after the / is unseen to them.

Content on pistonheads could easily put billions of the world in jail or even to deah if it was intercepted (China, Russia, Iran etc...) also some work places may frown upon it as well.
They are not able to intercept the content you browse. Only the URL.And work places that allow staff to run personal VPNs from corporate hosts to the outside are not very good at security.

Yes I always trust companies working out of Panama.
Yes to avoid snooping from "14 Eyes" and avoid data retention laws. So how is that shady? It is not a secret, it is published on their website.

What do they do with your data? Interesting Eufy (google it if not aware) said the same things. So how is that shady? It is not a secret, it is published on their website.

No, *you're* asserting that NordVPN are shady, what are *you* saying they do with my data?Nord VPN are open about being based in Panama and have been audited by Deloitte, who confirmed that no logs are kept and that user data is not monitored or recorded.
