Windows Remote Desktop - I hate Windows....

My work Windows laptop just updated and has a new hap-handy "feature"...

I currently use it via Windows Remote Desktop from my Mac, which is something I have used for various clients for years. Since the update the following now happens:

1. Click to another app on my Mac (e.g. Teams)
2. Return to the Windows Remote Desktop session
3. Magically Windows thinks the CAPS-LOCK key is on
4. If I push CAPS-LOCK the light on the keyboard comes on, and windows still thinks CAPS-LOCK is on
5. A second push corrects things....

As I only use Windows for compilation via the DOS Prompt or MingGW (bash) it is a real P.I.T.A. - every time I click to another app this happens - why has it started now and how can I fix it?

I have already tried the usual Windows fix of Reboot but no luck

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Sounds like it is interpreting a mouse click or a key press somehow. Have you tried different sofware to connect to the Windows machine?
