iPhone fault help
Discussion
I have an SE2020 which has no updates pending, the little orange switch isn't showing yet 'some' but not all contacts ring silently while others ring fine, I do have block all unknown callers active, I don't believe I have altered any settings but any help would be welcome lads. Cheers in advance

Have you tried knocking it off and seeing if the problem is still there?
You will need to go through a few hoops of trial and error to see what the problem is.
I've turned it off and will monitor the results, suppose I'll get to talk to some nice people from foreign lands with amazing offers of wealth. You will need to go through a few hoops of trial and error to see what the problem is.

My money is still on that you have a schedule or some contacts set to silent in one of the focus groups.
Check them all-

Work
FYI and since we are all on a learning curve, I went to Apple store and they ran diagnostics which came back 100% clear, the lad check my settings and said everything was good and his advice go to O2, so off I went, they said they masts ( who they share with Vodafone ) have Chinese parts that need to be replaced and the masts in my area are being upgraded at the moment, the bird got my phone and went to settings>mobile data options and changed it from G4 to G3 and said that should help until the Chinese parts are replaced. I'm no tech buff so have to accept/believe both peoples advice at the momentCheck them all-

That sounds a load of old guff to me. It would be affecting everyone if it was the masts requiring new parts.

I would totally agree with you but that's why I said I believe them for the moment! It would be affecting everyone if it was the masts requiring new parts.
My mate suggested to pop a different network sim in which again is a good idea and should prove phone/network fault but as I said originally the fault ain't there everyday nor every time I get a call.
PS. Since my visit to Apple & O2 I've had no missed calls; which is again puzzling

In all fairness it's always been activated as get loads of unsolicited calls
Register the number with the Telephone Preference Service - should vastly cut down unsolicited calls, and if you do get one you can inform them that they are breaking the law and ask for their details so you can report them, usually gets you taken off the lists pretty quick.https://www.tpsonline.org.uk/

Yeah I know about this and it works BUT only for companies who are registered with them thus those dodgy call centres still call; unbelievable I knowhttps://www.tpsonline.org.uk/
