After many years of use without issue
As of yesterday I Could no longer connect to Nord VPN it kept dropping out time after time,
Today I deleted the app and now cannot reinstall, it times out or errors, I tried Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi hotspot with same results,
I have messaged Nord support and I am waiting to hear back,
Anyone else had any similar issues with Nord?

It's been running fine for me all day today. No issues on laptop or mobile.

I used Nord for a couple of years and found this would happen more and more often, so I ditched it in the end, support couldn’t help, and there seemed to be nothing in particular causing the issues. Mind you, I’ve never found a VPN I’ve been 100% happy with.

I can't fault support they spent well over an hour on a chat guided me through a lot of things to try, very patiently.
finally got the app loaded again and logged in, but as soon as I am on the VPN the internet behaves like it is down.
obfuscated servers etc all tried, as soon as I am connected to the VPN down goes the internet on YT etc.

This appears to be from the Internet supplier/countries government according to media reports.

O well no more Channel 4 or BBC whist abroad.

I have also recently been having problems with Nord. Kept acting like internet was down when on. If I them paused the Nord VPN then would open websites fine.
No idea what was going on.

Do you use a TP-Link router? If yes, this link might help:

https://support.nordvpn.com/Connectivity/Router/18...

Edited to add - I had similar issues in the past, and if I remember correctly it was following some changes by my ISP. It only seemed to affect my laptop though, whereas my phone and FireStick were fine.

Plus, I can't even access that link I've posted on my phone when connected via broadband, whereas it loads fine via my mobile data connection. I think that tells me my ISP is even trying to block access to VPN support pages.

Seems the service suppliers are getting cleverer

There's your answer. The ISP/state will be blocking it. It may resume at some point in the future, or it may not.

Using a VPN is still technically illegal there, is it not?

Have you tried a free VPN for comparison?

I was with Nord for as few years, but didn’t renew as I don’t use it anywhere as much now.

Currently using the free ‘light’ version of Windscribe’, does everything I need. The free version has a reduced number of servers and is limited to 10Gb / month, but will give you an idea if it works for you before needing to pay for the full fat version.

I’ve just tried BBC iplayer and 4OD and both work on the free version.
