I have previously used WhoIs to locate website owners details, but I tried today on a site and I couldn't find any ownership details.

Is this a new think since GDPR?

I could really do with some help from the PH massive, as this is subject of an internal investigation, and I could do with pinning down the details of the domain owner, just a name, nothing else. Is that possible?

No details as in there are no WHOIS records, or no details as in "Registration Private"? If the latter, that's been a thing for years now. You might want to unleash the bloodhounds, see if there are other ways of identifying the miscreant biggrin

Yes GDPR. Especially .co.uk or any other european TLD's. You would have to go through the registrars complaint process or with legal support depending on the "issue".

BTW this is best in the Computers and gadgets forum.

Any bloodhounds, please message me through my profile, as it’s quite a serious fraud allegation, I wouldn’t want to risk putting the url up.
