Does anyone have any recommendations for wireless headphones that are comfortable for a side sleeper?

My Mrs likes to fall asleep to audiobooks etc...and I've bought her a couple of those sleepband type things but they usually have an issue where the earbuds slide around inside the band and off her ear - so pretty much useless. Looking on amazon they all seem much the same design.

  • Nightbuds are the world’s thinnest sleep buds that sit snug in the ear for the comfiest night’s sleep.
  • Perfect for side sleepers.

I couldn't find wirelsss ones, so I bought Bulees Sleep Earphones for side sleeping from Amazon.

They are very comfortable, but the rubber earpiece things come off every single night. I think I'll glue them on, because otherwise they're just right.

Cable length is a consideration.

I use an old phone to listen to BBC Sounds at night and buy Beltron B750 wired in-ear headphones from Amazon. They're cheap enough (£12.99) to replace every so often though usually last six months or more before both ears fail.

Genuine question - why the need for headphones at all? My wife will also put audiobooks on to fall asleep to and just has it playing out the phone speaker on a 30 minute timer.

I’ve used a thin pillow speaker for years now.

I'd hazard a guess that it's so you don't disturb your partner. Mrs. Tuono would be mightily pissed if had my phone playing out when she's trying to sleep, however quietly.

I use these for the same purpose because they are flatter than any others I have:

They work well - I use one side only and get to sleep on the other side, but I don't find that's a problem through the night as I turn.

Be weary of Bluetooth earphones, most of them have a flashing status light on them.

Unnoticeable in a lit room, but in a pitch black bedroom they’re like the nye fireworks.

I’ve previously used a pillow speaker too. Easily the best option as no need to worry about comfort or taking headphones off when you fall asleep.

Ooh, might have to get a pair of those - they look similar (slightly longer body) to the Creative EP630's (which are basically mechanical clones of the classic old Sennheiser CX300 II's) that I'm currently using at night, and which I'm still kicking myself over for not having bought a few more sets back when they were still available. Thanks for the recommendation.

I’ve used JVC Flats for years.

They are very light and slim, I have one on an ear and the other I leave behind the ear I sleep on. They are light enough that you can barely feel the ‘spare’ headphone on your sleeping side.

£15ish and they last for ages.
