So what’s going on here. I received an email on the Yahoo account I share with Mrs BC asking me to change the password on my own account. I didn’t click on the link and duly changed the password which looked fine.

Then I looked in the Spam folder on my account to see 2 emails from Yahoo informing that mail I’d sent hadn’t gone due to ‘suspicious activity on my account’. I’ve no idea what that could have been and even more odd that mail from Yahoo went into Spam on my Yahoo account.

Any ideas?

No ideas but shared experience, last two weeks or so :- Contact verification Phone etc. Which is claimed last happened months ago ! More like days. Last/this week nearly every time "not a robot" - many times.
Claim of suspicious activity ? Only once.in the above period.
Similar situation happened years ago was censored me off, then ceased ?

That is a temporary block, usually caused by sending a lot of emails in a short time or sending to a large amount of recipients a common cause is a compromised account, check for any mail rules that are deleting incoming and outgoing emails as that is a common tactic on compromised accounts. It can also happens if you use the yahoo email for sending out marketing emails rather than using a using an email marketing platform like mailchimp etc

Thanks. I could understand any of those explanations but none apply. It’s my personal account from which I send 6-7 emails per week. Also why on earth did the notifications from Yahoo get detected as spam by Yahoo? Surely that’s bizarre.
