Sky Q remote playing up

Just dropped the Sky Q remote on the stone floor. Volume control stopped working. The rest of it seemed ok but after rebooting the Q box to try and get the volume back nothing at all is now happening thru the remote. Tried the 7+9 followed by 1+3 re-pair. Got four LED flashes on the 7+9 but only one flash on the 1+3. Batteries seem ok (LED lights when I press the ? key). Any thoughts/ideas? Thanks.
