EE going solo? Where are the deals
Discussion
EE seems to be withdrawing from all comparison sites. It is now hard work finding deals. Are there even any?
I am out of contract, living in the sticks and EE is by far the best network, so I don't want another. I have 10GB a month @ £10 ( that was a 12m deal, now expired. Ideally I want 20Gb for the same £20 or better, but I can't find anything like the deals I found when I took the above. Do I just need to bite the bullet and go up a level in data and cost?

It seems plusnet are not as good for me, in rural land.
3G/2G coverage is the same but 4G is different
Plusnet Mobile are a smaller provider that use EE’s network to provide both call signal (3G/2G) and 4G data signal. However there are a few key differences between the two networks that are worth knowing.
While Plusnet can provide access to EE’s brilliant 4G network, they only get access to three out of four of EE’s 4G signal frequencies. The frequency they’re missing out on is the one EE use to reach more rural areas and for extra capacities in cities.
So if you’re out and about in the countryside, there can be a noticeable difference between EE and Plusnet for 4G data. But this difference largely disappears in populated areas. There’s no 5G on Plusnet yet.
Otherwise, 2G/3G call signal coverage is identical on both networks.

Know anyone who can get a corporate discount? I got 20% off with my firm.
Also, might be worth getting a phone on contract and selling it.
I found 25gb a month with Pixel 6a and Fitbit for £20 a month (with 20% corporate discount) on a 2 year contract. Was less than £4 a month difference Vs going SIM only.
Sell the Pixel, they are fetching about about £220 on ebay, sell the Fitbit Verso 2 which is going for about £50. Call it £240 after eBay fees, so equivalent to £10 a month over a 2 year contract.
So you sort of end up paying the equivalent of £20 - £10 = £10 a month.
See what phone deals they have going if you can be bothered going this route.
But as others have said, if I was an existing customer, I'd call them and tell them I'm thinking about leaving them, quoting the monthly rate from a competitor network, see what they can do.

Login/set up ee account via app or online, you see offers with loyalty discount applied when looking in the shop, layout is a bit of a mess but better deals are there at the moment compared to what you have, just watch out for the speed cap on certain offers or half price for 6 months only, many plans have an option for by sport/Netflix roaming/Apple Music etc to choose from bundled in.I am out of contract, living in the sticks and EE is by far the best network, so I don't want another.
