how do I send a text message to a 61xxx number?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S9

Would like ot enter a competition but i have to

;'Send a text to 61xxx with the word winnere'

Am at a loss on how to do it, being the first time i want to send a text message to a non phone number

IWould i do it under the phone app or the message one?

Any kick starts gratefully received

You would use your phone's SMS app. Be aware it'll likely charge you a premium for doing so one of those numbers (often how they make their money to run the promo) and just double-check that you're not being 'opted in' to receiving premium-rate SMS messages on a recurring basis:
