There is a cheaper deal for an iPhone 13 with affordable mobiles through the money saving expert website. Also give top cash back a try at the same time for £40 cash back.

Recently bought 2 mint condition iPhone 12s for my parents from Reboxed for about £300-ish each

I was very pleased with the quality

My 13ProMax is an as-new refurb from MobilePhonesDirect on £46/mth for 24mths with 360gb data/mth which was cheaper than buying the phone outright and having a cheap SIMO deal for 2yrs (this was about 12mths ago it was purchased)

Similar for me - Giffgaff sim is £10 per month, and I recently replaced an ageing iPhone 6 with an Apple refurbed iPhone12 pro. Saves a bit going the refurbished route, the phone comes with a new battery, 12 month Apple warranty, and when it arrived, I couldn't tell the difference from a brand new one.

Definitely refurbed. Bought my daughter a rf iPhone se for early Christmas present, she says it looks brand new. Also better for environment.

for a new one sim-free, either direct from Apple, or John Lewis as they often have a 2 year warranty.

We went with the Affordable deal on MSE, did the transaction over the phone. It’s basically an iPhone with a 2 year SIM for the cost of the handset.

Ordered late Saturday afternoon, it arrived yesterday via DPD.

Recommended.

Good to know, that deal actually went lower AFTER Black Friday, cheeky . I am waiting to see what Boxing Day brings

Good reviews for Mozillion. They have refurbished iPhones with original parts only and include a 2 year guarantee, costs a good bit less than buying a new one.

Apple warranty their products in line with consumer law beyond their own one year guarantee, so in practice they are the same as John Lewis.

I would rather purchase from Apple than JL (if the prices are the same) as beyond year one I can take a faulty product to Apple for what can often be an immediate replacement/repair. After year one with a JL purchased product you have to take it back to JL (not Apple as your contract is with JL) and they will send it away for repair.

Most people aren’t aware of their statutory rights and think Apple’s one year warranty is the end point for support, but the information is on their website -

https://www.apple.com/uk/legal/statutory-warranty/...

I’ve had replacements/repairs on a number of Apple products after a year from apple without any issues.

/\ This ….. however I recently had a problem at 1 year 11 months with an iPad I bought from JL.

JL collected it from me and within a few days they sent me a brand new replacement.

Interesting! I have a set of AirPods that aren’t holding charge anymore and are only 2.5 years old, so might try my luck with the UK Consumer law approach.

Thanks for highlighting!
