I've used Epson printers for 25 years and I'm sick of the cost of the ink and the fact that every time I need to use it it requires much wastage of ink cleaning and realigning the heads before it actually spits something useable out.

As my printing nowadays isn't time critical I was wondering about binning my printer and finding some company where I email what I want printing with spec like colour/paper type and so on then they post me the prints.

Does anyone use such a service for occasional personal use? Any recommendations?

Thanks.

I gave up on Epson home printing years ago as the cost is daft.

For cheap but decent I've used Photobox.co.uk for 15 years, and for posh, I use Zenfolio. There are many others. Queensbury are expensive but top drawer.

Try this:

https://www.xhp.mailadoc.co.uk/register

Use code XHPS20 to get 20% off print (excluding delivery)

Let me know what you think of it or if you think it needs any additional features. I designed it for Xerox.

As an alternative, the HP Instant ink service starts at 99p for 15 pages a month.
1 ink cartridge costs around the same a 2 years subs..
