I use Powerpoint to make PDFs and want to add video to them. I can insert the video on PP, but when I export it doesn't play (or even display fully).

What's the easiest way to do this?

It's a single PDF I sent to customers but I amend every one to personalise it, so I still need to be able to add edit it each time. For this reason I'd rather stay away from an online thing where you up and download it every time you make a change.

TIA

What are you using to view the final pdf? If it's Adobe Reader it may be an issue with the vodeo codec that Powerpoint uses as it looks as if only H.264 codecs are supported by Reader. Try creating the pdf in another software package such as Acrobat Pro.

Clearly I don't know why you are using pdf, but it does not feel like the right format to send videos.

What about a link to an online video instead - with a thumbnail image + play button in the pdf? This would look the same when they received it, MUCH smaller file size to send/receive, could host all the videos on Youtube (separate one for each customer).

Thanks, that sounds like a plan. Question is can I do it in Powerpoint or do I need the paid Acrobat?
