Mods, I posted this in the “Computers, Gadgets & Stuff” as apposed to the “Business” section, feeling it will gain more traction here. Let’s start by saying, I’m no the most tech savvy individual.

For those of you into F1, you may have seen many adverts for “Salesforce 360”, “Salesforce 360, tells Lilly’s barrister, how she likes her coffee” “Why doesn’t Lilly, tell her barrister?” Annoying as they are, I decided to search it (guess it achieved the goal) to find out what it was about.

There is a nice glossy website, with is lots of spiel about how will help your company, realize your customers needs, integrate systems and so forth. However, from a customer’s perspective, there is absolutely nothing. How are they going to drive customers to the platform, if there is no content about being a user? Why would anyone need this?

Since 2018 Salesforce has spent nearly $50 billion buying application software. I know developing tech is expensive, but $50 billion, 4 years and it doesn’t seem to be operational, that’s some burn.

At the start, I stated I’m not tech savvy, so maybe someone can enlighten me, is this the next big thing?

Thank you CR, for taking the time to explain it. I did read their website, recognising that it can do a lot for business. I was being a bit thick as usual, by not realising that businesses, are the end user.

It makes sense now.
