Can't get MicroSoft's OneDrive to work
Discussion
Anyone else having problems?
I've just recently signed up for 100GB at £2 per month.
Copying stuff from my C: drive, it just stops if the pc is paused (like if I lock the screen).
It stops if I hibernate the pc (that's ok) but doesn't re-start when I start-up again. What a pain.
Or am I doing something wrong.
It's also filled up a "One Drive" folder on my File Explorer which seems to be on my C: drive. Rather defeats the point of keeping it off-site. My C: drive is now full.

If you’ve installed the onedrive app, then that adds a local folder and acts as local storage, and backs everything up to the cloud. If you only want to back up to the cloud, then remove the app and upload files via a browser. Alternatively, move all your content into the onedrive folder, that’s what it’s designed for. Then every file you put in that folder is backed up automatically.
I suspect it’s failing because your c drive is full, and so it can’t copy any more files to the onedrive folder on your c drive.

You should also be able to change the OneDrive settings so that the files remain on the cloud, and only working copies/shortcuts are kept locally...it's called 'Files On-Demand'.
