I need a new monitor for work.
Been told to spend around £120 so think there is a bit of stretch, but not too much.

Main use is spreadsheets and contracts, no gaming or CAD use at all.

Reaching out to the IT massive to see if there are any recommendations, especially considering Black Friday…

Links to any monitors that fit the bill would be much appreciated.

It will be faulty. Every electronic item I've bought from Amazon Warehouse has had a fault. Some clearly where someone's returned an old broken one.

Got one of these a year ago and it has been faultless - even made the trip overseas with me as my work were good enough to put me on assignment but stingy enough not to provide a monitor in my new location...

There are probably better deals out there but just recommending what I know.

I've always found Dell monitors to last well..
I find 2 ~24inch to be good for spreadsheet type work.

Thoughts?
Like the idea of an ultrawide, but not QHD ...

Similar to the previous poster, would recommend Dell - specifically the Ultrasharp range for Office work.

I have 2x 24inch, with the thin bezel so you can run them side by side easily.

Ultrawide isn't for everyone. I looked at it extensively but ultimately went against it as found it to be quite limiting. I.e. if you want to run a YouTube video full screen then you can't have another active window open like you can with dual monitor. I guess this also applies for other things like running PPT in full-screen, but having other windows (Teams or the speaker notes) on another screen

its a good point, I would always run two monitors for working over one big one. Its just so much easier to manage windows.

Good points on the ultra wide.

This has popped up as a deal today ... 27", QHD, in budget ....

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08XMSYZHD/ref=syn_sd_...

so it's between this and the Viewsonic at another retailer
