There aren’t many about and only one which also have some tilt function is a hundred quid. Anyone know of a reasonably priced one (50 quid I would’ve thought) that can tilt the the monitors a bit? Can’t understand whips there isn’t many on amazon and ebay etc

Also while I’m at it, is 2 x 27” monitors too much. I’ve had dual monitors at work for ages probably approx 21” and want to upgrade them. Now wondering if 27 is too big as I see a lot of people use 1 large + 1 laptop. I just use a lot of programmes so need 2 monitors

Does this help?
Admittedly it's for four screens, but i guess you could tuck the unused arms out the way.

Keep in mind that VA screens can have odd colour issues when vertical - often you find IPS screens have rotation capable stands, but VA don't for this reason.

If you've got the physical space to install them in a way which will be comfortable for you to look at, then no. At work and at home I've got 2x24" monitors, and if I had the space on my desk at home then I'd definitely be considering swapping them out for 27" screens when they start to wear out - 24" is a nice size, but I'd quite happily have something slightly bigger just to make smaller details easier to see given my ever ageing eyes.

Basically, remember that the monitors form part of the interface between you and the system, and as I always tell anyone who comes looking for advice on this topic, if you make any compromises in any parts of this interface - be it monitors, keyboard, mouse etc. - then sooner or later you'll find yourself regretting it each and every time you come to use the system. So treat your eyes to something slightly easier to read by opting for the slightly larger screens - when you've been sat at your system for an extended session and you're starting to get a bit tired, the last thing you need is to be trying to make out some small bit of text or a tiny icon on a screen that's ever so slightly too small to be clear in less than ideal conditions. Once you've used a system with a decent set of screens, you'll wonder how and why you ever thought anything less was acceptable.

I use a 34” ultra wide, a 27” mounted vertically and a 24”. I use quite a few programmes. You may want to look at FancyZones to let you tile windows on a larger screen rather than simply splitting them across two screens.

As well as physical size, consider monitor pixel density, I.e. size vs resolution as this governs how large text and images appear by default. Yes, Windows will let you scale to reduce this issue but it rarely looks quite as nice as running a screen at the right resolution.
