MSI's Project 491C a 240hz insanely wide curved screen monitor. And it's an Quantum Dot OLED screen.

Anyone thinking of buying a 2 or 3 monitor setup might wait for CES 2023 in January to find out more about it.

I've just bought the alienware qdoled 34 ultra wide. It's brilliant. That will be superb for driving sims.

Gonna need some oompth to drive though.

Going by the picture, looks like it needs a stronger curve.

I've got a G9 and the very pronounced curve is actually perfect when you are sat at it, even though it looks crazy when you step away from the monitor.

Do you have the G9 or G9 Neo??

Was tempted earlier in the year, and the neo has dropped down to $1500 from $2300 so wondering if I should pull the trigger to replace current dual monitors...

I've got the standard G9 Odyssey (ie the model before the Neo came out). There's also another earlier G9 model that isn't as curved.

If you are going to go wider than 16:9 then a Super Ultrawide is by far the best way to go, IMO. 32:9 gives you the functional equivalent of two 16:9 screens side by side, without a bezel.

Regular 21:9 Ultrawide is nice enough for the extra space but on a desktop PC is not really enough to replace two widescreens. It works great with a decent laptop though with the laptop screen acting as a second screen.

If you go for a big Super Ultrawide, then I good curve really helps. I find the curve on my G9 to be pretty optimal.
