Discussion
Hi,
We previously had Sky broadband through the phone line. We have recently taken out a contract with Virgin Broadband. The installer has cut the phone line cable going in to the property to the BT socket. I phoned the installer and he explained because we have a rendered house, he wanted to avoid drilling another hole into the property so took out the BT cable and used the hole for the Virgin cable.
This makes sense and I can see why he has done this, however if we wanted to go back to sky/BT etc, then will we have to pay to have the line reconnected, or is it as straightforward as just buying a junction box and reconnecting it myself?
Thanks for any advice.
EDIT: The phone line is still visible on the outside of the property, just cut!
