Fast broadband

I am on TalkTalk 150.

They are offering upgrade to 900 Mbs but it's quite a lot more.

Is there any point? My old computer is limited by the adaptor and my sons' two X-Bixes seem fine and the streaming rarely spools.

Is the speed not limited by the old cable anyway?

Other than bragging rights, or if you have a use for a faster upload speed, 100Mb/s is sufficient for 99.9% of domestic use cases.

I went from 80/20 to 930/930 (max speedtest) & don't really notice much difference except game updates are obviously blazing fast which is nice. Bare* in mind I am a lone user!

Someone correct me - is it bear or bare here?!

As others have said, if you are fine with it as it is, then there is little point.

Is there the halfway option of 530 which Sky/BT offer for less money? Your kids would love how fast games and updates download on their Xbox.

It may also be worth waiting to see if there is a black Friday deal to upgrade. I was hoping sky would offer a cut price upgrade from 530, which I'm on now to the 900 - but it seems they aren't doing one.

I can’t believe living here that the only fast BB is Virgin. BT Fibre super fast still only 30mb.
