Hi

Have a Lexmark printer in my small office and it's worked well for the last 3 years since I bought it new.

I've replaced ink as and when required, emptied the waste toner bottle etc. It's now come up with replace "Imaging Kit".

From a quick google, it seems there is no real way round this. Only problem is that the kit is around £270, and I can buy the new version of my printer for £300.

Any point mending the current one? Is this the Daily Mails throwaway society etc...

Cheers

Which model?

It may be possible to reset it.

What's the page count?

If the printer wants the imaging units replacing you must have printed a lot of pages.

Unless you have a large stock of toner I'd replace with the new model.

Looks like you may be able to do it through the menu

See page 241 of the user manual.

https://publications.lexmark.com/publications/lexm...

The imaging kit has a 125,000 page life. These items do wear.
Will go on for a bit but print quality will deteriorate at some point.
