Apple Watch Upgrade

Morning All

I have a Nike apple watch (series 5) and have seen a nice deal on a newer Apple watch 7 (also Nike edition). I was wondering if it's worth an upgrade. I use the watch for running and general wearing during the day.

the main benefit on the 7 is the always-on display.

SWIMBO went from 4 to 7 and that's it, also gains in battery life.

I don't find it compelling, sitting here with a 4 with decent battery life still.

Agree, I got the 4 nearly 4 years ago and it’s still fine, no rush to upgrade for me at the moment.

Good array of features and battery is still lasting enough to cover a full days wear even if I do a workout.

I received a 7 cellular as a present from wife last year, Nike edition too.

I like the always on display, other than that there’s probably not much difference you’d notice.

The display is also a lot larger and will probably make the biggest difference.

The op has a 5, always on display

I have the same, with 4g
Had a look at the 7, but couldn’t justify the upgrade. Slightly better/bigger screen
Didn’t like the new ultra
So will stick with the 5 for another year!
The 5 was worth peanuts used/px, worth more to me
