smallest, lightest portable iPhone charger for hiking?
Discussion
I've just purchased an Anker power bank to keep in my walking rucksack. I do have other power banks but I kept forgetting to pack them
9.7cm x 4.5cm x 2.2cm so compact to shove in a pocket and good for just full charge and a little bit more on my P30 Pro.

For minimal travel I often just carry an EU round pin charger as they are much smaller. Go in to UK sockets easily enough if you jab a pen in the earth hole to open the flaps.
eg something like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/European-Adapter-Converte...

Another vote for Anker, I have one of their smallest ones which will still charge my phone twice, been using it for at least 4 years and its still working perfectly.
This is the one I have https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anker-PowerCore-Ultra-Com...

You don’t tend to find many plug sockets of any kind out in the middle of the penines eg something like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/European-Adapter-Converte...

And not until after winter and then maybe hoping it actually gets made I have this, which I've slipped into my pocket for days out with no access to a plug socket. Has charged up my Oneplus 7T a few times, kids also use it at home when tablets are dying, as it's so slim so easy to carry. Had no problem with it, does what it should and is extremely slim and light.

My current powerbank, and the wife's are both Anker (still working fine after 2 years).
Previous one was also Anker, and that lasted about 7 or 8 years before it started to hold noticeably less charge.
+1 again for Anker.
I've had a fairly cheap 10,000mAh Anker for about 5 years now, and it's been brilliant. Always keep it in my work bag. I'm sure it will have degraded in performance over the time I have had it, but I haven't noticed. It still performs very well.
The Nitecore ones do look really good, but you are paying a £30 premium to save 30g in weight over the equivalent 10,000mAh Anker product.

Yeah, to be fair, if you don't have a spreadsheet with the weights of everything you're taking on your next hike and you haven't gone as far as, say, cutting down your rucksack straps... you probably don't need to spend the premium.craigjm said:

This is the answer that matters IF you need to care about weight and capacity. However, for day hikes the reality is that you don't need much, and it really doesn't matter.Regardless of what phone you use you need to take backup power if that phone is your sole device for navigation and communication.
I use a Nitecore NB10000 but that amount of power is totally unnecessary for day hikes, and they're ridiculously expensive now.

Fully agree!Lighterpack.com just leads to obsession and blowing money.
I hike a huge amount. I now buy clothing partially based on weight. Don't be like me!
