I've been tasked with setting up a video conferencing system in a community space.

Got all the stuff TV, trolley stand, and had to get a Meta/Facebook portal, as well as a standard webcam, cables and USB-C to HDMI adapter.

But, I want to secure it. At the very least to prevent the Facebook portal from taking a 5ft fall to the floor, or the HDMI adapter being swept into a visiting laptop bag.

Thoughts?

I've seen a few small security cable solutions that you can crimp to length. Any tips on the Portal? Would need to second check but no idea if there are any fixing points. Maybe just a 3M/GoPro-type fixing will suffice.

At our place the HDMI adaptor thingies are attached to the cables they adapt(?) by about 6 inches of crimped metal cable - works well.

Could do the same with the meta spy cam by attaching some type of sticky eyelet (do they not have this as part of them?)

Thanks. That's the kind of thing I was thinking. My budget alternative appears to be some stainless steel looped tethers off Amazon with a cable tie to hold in place.

And yes, it's a spy cam but easy for old folk and doesn't need a laptop!

(It also has a sliding lense cover)
