Hi

I could do with some help!

I have had to change my email server and settings and had no problem reinstalling them on my Apple devices.

My Microsoft Surface is a different story.

I have deleted and re added the new email settings it keeps saving a password which is much longer than the one that I save with the new settings.

I’ve deleted all the saved passwords on edge/windows etc and am currently wondering which Window to throw this through.

I’ve tried Microsoft customer services but helpfully its all online to make my customer journey easier.

Thanks in advance

On the Surface, do not manage the accounts in Outlook but rather Control Panel and the Mail widget. It is less stupid than the UI baked into Outlook - especially if your email login is not your email address. Duh!

Choose the top button. And yes, this is little changed since Windows 3.1 biggrin

Thanks for that. I’ve tried tried without the app and it won’t work.
I’ll try to speak to someone at Microsoft again tomorrow

From the start menu, type in Windows Credentials
This will bring a list of all saved passwords for Microsoft apps (like O365logins)
look for any Outloom related logins and remove
When you restart Outlook it’ll want the username & password rentering
