GPS tracker not tracking...

Ive recently installed Life 360 & Famisafe on our families Android phones.

Life 360 will be removed shortly, but thats irrelevant.

I've noticed that whilst my wife's location keeps updating, my sons (who is the one I really need to keep an eye on) location doesn't update regularly at all. This morning for instance, they left for school in the same car and my son was stationary at the halfway point whilst MrsMurdoch was travelling back from the school!

Is this a processor issue, or a settings issue?

Does the software need GPS enabled all the time? Some settings on the phone only allow location data to be used when the app is in use, and so if the app is only in the background it might not be able to use the GPS receiver. I think you can change it in the phone app settings.

Does it allow you to check the location settings and adjust?

Most have GPS + cell tower for finer location.

We've got Family Link installed and it seems to work well for our youngest son's phone.
