How to sync mobile with desktop Outlook calendar

I have MS Outlook on my desktop pc and Google calendar on my Moto G6 phone.

How can I sync the two?

Hmm. The install failed - threw up lots of error messages re needing to edit registry.

I think I'll pass on that one - thanks for the suggestion though.

Not sure why. It's always worked for me.

You should be able to add your Outlook calendar to google calendar natively if you install the outlook app

I've been using AkrutoSync for years - works very well, acts as an Exchange server, only thing I have not been able to sync with it is Outlook on another PC (my laptop - still synced with native mail/calendar/people though.
