Ali Express SSDs
Discussion
Has anyone been brave enough to install an M.2 SSD purchased from Ali Express?

is only £36.81 for the 2TB version. Crazy cheap, but would I be crazy to trust its reliability?

Along with all the obvious will it actually be a 2TB drive etc, etc this might be of interest.

My rule of thumb for buying any form of storage goes like this...
A) is it from a trusted manufacturer and supplier?
If yes, goto B, otherwise start again
B) is the price in the Goldilocks zone compared to other trusted suppliers of comparable quality parts - not too cheap, not too expensive, just right?
If yes, goto C, otherwise start again
C) is it in stock and claims to be deliverable within an acceptable timeframe?
If yes, buy, otherwise start again...
In short, whilst I don't want to get ripped off paying well over the odds for stuff, neither do I want to screw myself over by trying to save a bit more and ending up with something that.turns out to not be fit for purpose. So personally, unless prices of SSDs have plummeted since I last looked, that sounds far too low for 2TB of decent quality storage for my liking, and I'd be pointing my credit card elsewhere.
