As per the title, I was looking at one of these in Currys and it looked quite nice at £1k, quite like the idea of a 2 in 1. Anyone have one? Good bad experiences?

I've had one for 7 years. I don't know if they unclip now, but if not then it's just a laptop that flips. I thought I'd use the tablet option a lot, I don't. I do use the touchscreen a lot though. Been a good performer but probably due for replacement. I want a tablet with a keyboard next.

I bought the very first Yoga they did when they were demo-ing the prototype at The Gadget Show at the NEC.

Still going strong many years later, and I bought the X1 carbon on the strength of my experience with it.

Don’t use it as a flip or tablet, but the touchscreen I can’t be without now.

Yes, the touchscreen I can imagine would be quite useful and something that if I had I can see it being one of those things are a prerequisite on any future purchase.

My work laptop is a Yoga of some flavour, great battery life and a fantastically bright/clear screen, I never flip it over, but the option is there I suppose. It’s a great workhorse, I use it daily for 6/7 hours at a time.

My work laptop is a Yoga and it’s brilliant. I very rarely flip it over but the touch screen is very good.

I had a gen 3 Yoga as my work laptop for three years. Nice and robust and the size/weight over a Carbon wasn’t really noticeable until they were size by side.

4k screen was lovely, rest was reasonably good spec, 8550U, 16 GB etc. and it performed well for the class of device.

I never really used the tablet functionality though, so unless you really have a use for it I would just get the equivalent Carbon model.

The Carbon models seem pretty expensive. I currently have a 15.6 inch display and want similar again and the 16" carbons are £2.5-3.5k which is a bit steep for me.

It's been a while since I used Lenovo stuff, but I recall the Thinkpad Yoga's being decent but the consumer-grade stuff being cack.
