Notification noise won't go away
Discussion
On my Windows 10 PC I'm getting a notification sound roughly every 15 minutes.
I know explaining a sound through text may not be helpful, but it is two notes going 'bluh bluh'.
It isn't a Windows sound as I have been through them all and none are the same, plus they are turned off anyway. I'm not receiving any messages or notifications through any application.
It only started happening after I bought Microsoft gamepass, but I think that is probably a coincidence. It's really starting to piss me off that I can't find what it is. I'm starting to wonder if it might be some sort of annoying virus.

Do they increase in pitch or decrease? as in lo-hi or hi-lo?
Going by what you describe - it could be the device connected / device disconnected noise. Lo-Hi is connected, hi-lo is disconnected. Do you have any dodgy usb cables (charging a phone or something like that) connected to the PC?

Thanks for the suggestions.
I noticed that Microsoft Edge had a load of background processes running, which I thought was strange as I don't use it. I've cancelled all the tasks and saw that it had modified itself around the same time the noises started. It also decided it wanted to start itself at start up. It's a shame it won't let me fully uninstall it.
Anyway the noise seems to have stopped, so hopefully that's fixed it.
