I’ve had Ring Doorbell & Floodlight Installed at my parents house but haven’t yet set them up.

Would it be wise to add them on my account account as a different location?

What are the pros and cons of setting them up within my account or a new standalone account?

I have a floodlight cam setup at my mothers house, I added it to my account as a different location so I can manage subscriptions myself. I also purchased her a echo view so she can view it if necessary, this and the camera are accessed by her own account which these devices are shared with.

Be aware that the ring protect plan which allows unlimited devices, this only covers one property.

Thanks. I assume I can pay for a second Ring Protect Plan?

Also, have you ever claimed on the Protect Plan, is it straightforward? I think I have a camera where the lens has been discoloured by the sun
