GPU indecisiveness

Ok, the prices of GPUs have dropped sufficiently for me to consider chopping in my trusty old 5700 xt for a 'new' card. I hate paying so much for them so have narrowed it down to a 3080 or a 6800 xt. To me it seems the NVidia only has the superior RT over the AMD and performance is pretty similar.
The 6800 is slightly cheaper but NVidia is always a solid performer. Not overly fussed with 4k performance at the moment as the monitor doesnt do it but looking ahead?

I can't decide!

Whats the general opinion?
