I recently transfered my fibre internet supplier from BT to Shell. My issue is that the digital handset branded BT HD will not work with my new Shell router. I can only imagine the BT phone is configured to only work with their router. I have been looking around at buying a simple, cheap handset that will work on my new router. Unfortunately there seems to be a reluctance by the few brands available that they are digital and not analogue. Any advice recomendations on which handset might best suit my needs, would be much appreciated.

By digital do you mean VOIP?

It's likely that when you cancelled BT this also cancelled your VOIP line. Just get a number from the likes of soho66 that's not tied to your internet provider and buy your own SIP phone from Amazon.

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately to have a verifiable landline number as a friend of mine is in Prison and he can only ring land line numbers. My new supplier Shell is with a landline and my issue is that the router they have supplied me with will not recognise my wireless, digital handset, ex BT.
