Led light strips which look good switched off

I've got those rolls of led lights which stick to the roof or wall in the kids rooms, look great when in use but otherwise look like a roll of tape with leds stuck on.
I'd like some LEDs for the lounge but want something which looks half decent when not in use.
Anyone able to recommend any please?

Not tried them, as I'm not sold on the strips being the best lights where they are. And I don't trust myself to fit them as perfectly as I'd want them, I'd cut a corner wrong or something.

If you don't have a shadow gap for them to go in to then LED profile is the best way.

Just shop around and find something that will suit the room. It can also help with light dispersion to make it a nicer glow from the LEDs.
