Recommend an Office chair
Discussion
Out of budget unless you manage to find one second hand but my Secret Labs Titan does the job. I can quite happily spend all the working day in it and then scoot over to my personal/gaming PC and watch YouTube and surf PH for another couple of hours. I get lower back pain in pretty much any other chair. I was very fortunate as one came up on a local fb group in as-new condition from a student leaving home for Uni.
This relegated my previous 160 quid Amazon purchase to my eldest as his gaming chair upstairs, he remains satisfied but gets jealous on the rare occasions he uses my gaming PC and the Secret Labs.

Yep, I found the Aeron uncomfortable too.
I bought a used Aeron about 10 years ago and ended up with painful tail bone. That went to bother me for a good couple of years. I sold the chair on after about a year. Funnily enough I also felt cold sitting in it - probably OK for warmer weather.I have been looking for a used leather Ergohuman chair for the 2 or 3 years but without luck.
Secretlabs have a real sale on at the moment with up to £200 off certain chairs. Just got a Titan Evo 2022 (small) Softweave in Cookies and Cream for £364 +£9 delivery, normally it is 'reduced' from £464 to £434, so £71 real world discount (as postage is normally free but cost me £9). It depends on the finish as to the reduction.

Yes, uncomfortable and cold.I gave it to my son, in order to justify the purchase of a Humanscale. He thinks it is okay and looks cool. At his age, cool is important.
Have been through several cheaper ones and ended up with back pain but invested in a used Herman Miller Mirra for under £400 and my back has been fine ever since. I previously used an Aeron when I was office based and that was fine for me and what triggered me to go for the Mirra. Certainly never felt cold in it whereas in non-mesh seats I would tend to overheat.
Another one for SecretLab Titan. Had mine since just before Covid, still looks like new, is perhaps even more comfortable than it was when I got it it (pretty firm when new). Previously ditched an Aeron as others have said.
Could be that a lightly used one is actually the sweet spot.
