I do not like technology, we just don't get on but I have to live with it, I am a dinosaur, a HAPPY one....most of the time.
We live in a village with very poor mobile connection, EE works for us, just, if the 'phone is outside across the road.
The problem is...
I phone the experia from the land line and it rings when the wife is on the other side of the road, she hits the green receive button and it just goes dead, nothing. This is an issue when you are trying to receive a verification PIN number.
From this description is it likely to be a poor reception signal that is causing the problem or a physical phone issue ?
Any help would be appreciated before the phone is launched into orbit !
Thanks
Brian.

Have you tried using a sim from another provider?

You can get a general idea whether a certain provider will work in your area using an online checkers, however nothing beats putting in an actual sim card and trying it.

I’ve done the same for my business where most work superbly outside, but go dead within 2m inside the building. Ultimately found that Lebara (Vodafone) worked significantly better than the other 3 major players.

Equally, put her SIM in a different phone (yours, a friends) and repeat the test. Should give you a better idea of SIM or phone as a cause. Then, with a friend on a different network....you get the idea.
