I was printing off my boarding passes for Ryanair yesterday from the website ( first time I’ve ever done this) on my iMac.

The rest of the page read perfectly but the QR code box was a long vertical rectangle rather than the square.

It was the same if I printed it directly or downloaded it and viewed it afterwards.

I got round the problem by screenshooting it off the app and printing it that way.

Is this how it should look and it’s a ‘duh’ moment.

That’s not a QR code that’s why. :-) printed passes vs phone passes use different codes

As already said they are two different things.

However make sure you don’t use a printed mobile pass from the app, or a a screenshot of the printable web version as most operators won’t accept them that way round.

That’s cleared that up I think.

So I used the mobile pass on the app which I’ve got on my wallet and the downloaded version as in my picture on the printed version.

I just assumed they would use the same reader for mobile or physical.

Just use the pass on your phone. No need to use a printed pass
